David Leonard McCann

David Leonard “Peachie” McCann, 47 of Washington died Saturday-January 9, 2016 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.  He was born November 22, 1968 in Miami Florida the son of Leonard W. McCann Jr. and Carlee E. Tannock McCann of Florida.  Mr. McCann worked as a salesman at various businesses throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania.  He was Protestant by faith.  Mr. McCann graduated from McGuffey High School in 1986 and from California University of Pennsylvania in 1989 with a bachelor’s of science degree in business and finance.  He enjoyed deer hunting, archery hunting and target archery.  Mr. McCann was an all-around outdoorsman who also enjoyed fishing, hiking and skiing.  He loved riding his motorcycle and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Mr. McCann also loved to cook and take photographs.  He served in the United States Air Force during Operation Desert Storm and was stationed primarily at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska.

In addition to his mother and father, Mr. McCann is survived by one brother; Daniel B. (Charis) McCann of Minnesota, one sister; Donna C. (Frank) McCann-Hochgesand of Florida, paternal grandparents; Leonard W. McCann Sr. and Virginia B. McCann of Florida.  Mr. McCann is also survived by several nieces and nephews and by his Labrador Retriever and hunting dog; “Jenna”.

Friends will be received on Thursday-January 14, 2016 from 2 P.M. until 6 P.M. the hour of a memorial service in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director.  Interment will be private.  Following the memorial service friends are invited to continue to visit with the family until 8 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, P.O.
