We further strive to provide respectful, dignified, and affordable funeral services in a comfortable atmosphere. Our History
The Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. was originally founded in May of 1934 by Robert Clark Gordon. The funeral home was then known as the Robert C. Gordon Home for Funerals. Robert Gordon operated the funeral home for 44 years along side his wife Muriel Schaffer Gordon at 336 Wilson Avenue in Washington, PA. In July of 1978 S. Timothy and Susan Falvo Warco purchased the funeral home from the Gordon Family. The funeral home has remained in the same location for the past seven decades.
In 2000, Susan and Tim decided to completely renovate the existing funeral home facility. The renovation included a new funeral chapel, four new viewing rooms, a children’s play room, a new coffee lounge, new arrangement offices, new handicap accessible restrooms, and a new casket and vault display room. The facility maintains a state of the art embalming and preparatory room that was engineered by the Champion Embalming Fluid Company. The entire facility is totally handicap accessible and smoke free. During visitations, families and visitors are greeted upon arrival by parking attendants who valet park automobiles upon request.
Our Family
S. Timothy Warco serves as the Supervisor/Funeral Director of the funeral home. Susan Falvo Warco serves as another Funeral Director with the firm and also as the Office Manager. S. Timothy Warco II, is the other licensed Funeral Director on staff. The entire Warco family are graduates of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. The Warco family is involved in many religious, civic, fraternal, and community organizations. The Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. is also a member of several professional funeral associations. S. Timothy Warco also has served as Washington County Coroner since 1992 and is an active member of the Pennsylvania State Coroner’s Association.

S. Timothy (Tim) Warco, a native of Washington was born March 15, 1951 a son of Stanley A. and Lois Claffey Ritchie Warco of Washington. He has two brothers, Michael and Kevin. He is the father of three children, Holly, Tim II and A.J. Tim has resided in the Washington area his entire life. He is a life member of the Immaculate Conception Church where he served as an altar server, Parish Council, and an usher for many years. He is past chairman and member of the church cemetery committee. He is a 1969 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, a 1974 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania with a BA Degree in Psychology, a 1975 graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, and a 1991 graduate of the Pennsylvania Coroner’s Association Medical-Legal Death School. He became a licensed funeral director in 1975 and in 1978, S. Timothy and Susan Falvo Warco, purchased the Gordon Funeral Home in Washington where they and their son, S. Timothy II, operate today.
Tim was elected Washington County Coroner in 1992 and served as deputy coroner 17 years prior to his election. His social and fraternal memberships include Washington Jaycees and Washington Kiwanis Club where he served as past president. Tim is a member of Council No. 1083 Knights of Columbus where he served as Past Grand Knight and Bishop Boyle Assembly of Knights of Columbus 4th Degree. He is a member of Washington Camp No. 120 Department of Pennsylvania Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Washington Lodge No. 776 B.P.O. Elks, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 22, Alpine Star Lodge No. 22, Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, Sons of American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 Washington, Travelers Protective Association, serves as Chaplain and sits on the board of directors. Member and Past Master of Washington Lodge 164, Past High Priest of Washington Royal Arch Chapter No. 150, Washington Council No. 1 R.S.M. of Washington, Past Commander of Jacques de Molay Commandery No. 3, Pittsburgh Commandery No. 1, Past Grand Commander of Knights Templar of Pennsylvanian, Past Commander-In-Chief Valley of Pittsburgh A.A.S.R., Syria Shrine A.A.O.N.M.S. of Pittsburgh and Honorary Member Supreme Council Thirty-Third Degree.
Tim’s professional associations are Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, Pennsylvania State Coroners Association and International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners.

Susan Falvo Warco, 68 of Washington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 29, 2021 with her family by her side.
She was born November 23, 1952 in Washington PA the daughter of the late Joseph D. Falvo and Betty J. Verno Falvo of Washington.
Susan was a 1970 graduate of Trinity High School, attended West Liberty College, was a graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing in Bloomfield and was a 1995 Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Prior to purchasing the Robert C. Gordon Home for Funerals with her husband in 1978, Susan worked as a nurse at Kane Hospital, Kade Nursing Home, The Extended Care Facility of the Washington Hospital and also worked as a Private Duty Nurse.
Susan was the co-owner and manager of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc. in Washington Pa. where she dedicated her life to serving the community and families in need as a Funeral Director since 1978. She also served Washington County Coroner’s Office as Chief Deputy for 26 years pro bono. Susan was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and was a past member of the Catholic Daughters and Christian Mothers. She was also a past member of the Democratic Women and was a current member of the Travelers Protective Association.
Susan was an avid reader, enjoyed her weekly beauty shop visits, lunch at her local Washington favorite restaurants and cruising around town in her Mini Cooper. She was a family woman above all else and enjoyed nothing more than having her children and grandchildren with her, and spent most of her evenings and weekends at her grandson’s baseball games or doing whatever the day brought her with her grandchildren’s activities. Susan’s family was her life and nothing brought her more joy than when they were all together laughing and sharing time.
She is survived by her mother, Betty J. Verno Falvo; the love of her life, S. Timothy Warco; three children, Holly Renay Warco, S. Timothy (Allison) Warco II, A.J. (Susan Vozila) Warco; three grandchildren, S. Timothy “Trip” Warco III, Brennen Gabriel “BB” Warco and Ameila Louise “Millie” Warco. Also surviving is a sister, Judy (Bill) Baxendell. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins also survive along with her best friends, Patty Belcastro Levi, Susan Ealy, the late Valerie (Angotti) Molinaro and so many other friends she considered family.

S. Timothy Warco II was born December 26, 1979 in Washington, PA, the son of S. Timothy and Susan Falvo-Warco. He is a 1994 graduate of John F. Kennedy Catholic grade school, a 1998 graduate of Trinity High School, and a 2002 Cum Laude honor graduate of West Virginia University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Tim also graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 2004 with honors earning an Associate and Specialized Technology Degree in Funeral Service Arts and Sciences. Following his curriculum at the mortuary school, he served his apprenticeship under his father at the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. for a period of one year. After successfully passing both his state and national board exams, Tim became a licensed funeral director in March of 2005. He is the fourth member of his family to become a licensed funeral director in the state of Pennsylvania. In 2003, Tim became a Washington County Deputy Coroner under his father, Tim Sr. who has served as the Washington County Coroner since 1992.
S. Timothy Warco II is a member of various civic and fraternal organizations. Tim is a member of the Washington Rotary Club, Knights of Columbus Council No. 1083, Sons of the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post No. 175, Benevolent and Protected Order of the Elks Lodge No. 776, Washington Lodge No. 164 Free and Accepted Masons, Washington Royal Arch Chapter No. 150, Valley of Pittsburgh A.A.S.R., Syria Shrine A.A.O.N.M.S. of Pittsburgh, and Tall Cedars of Lebanon Wa-Cha-Gree Forest No. 149. Tim is also a member of Immaculate Conception Church where he serves as an usher at 12:15 Sunday Mass. He is married to Allison Louise Warco and the couple have three children; S. Timothy Warco III, Brennen Gabriel Warco and Ameila Louise Warco.
