Peter John Masiyowski
/Peter John Masiyowski, 87, of Washington, PA, died Thursday-March 10, 2016. He was known as Pete to his family and friends, and Pap-Pap Choo-Choo to his great grandchildren. He was born June 10, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Stephen and Stella Masiyowski. He was the last surviving of his siblings Nellie, Mary, John, and Joseph. Pete graduated from Trinity High School in 1948, worked as a steelworker at Cyclops Steel in Bridgeville, and was the owner/proprietor of Joe’s A&G market.
He was married to the love of his life Rosemarie Masiyowski for 65 years. Since her passing on November 16, 2015, Pete looked forward to their forever reunion in heaven.
Beloved father to his two children, daughter; Becky Papson and son; John (Marylou) Masiyowski. Pap-Pap Choo Choo was dearly loved by his four grandchildren; Greg (Natalie) Papson, Mike (Melissa) Papson, Sabrina (Ben) Foote and Nik Masiyowski, and his great grandchildren; Ben, James, Abby Rose and Rachel Eleanor-Marie. Pete was an avid Lionel train collector and hobbyist. All those blessed to know Pete, will miss his soft spoken kindness, his mechanical skills, especially with tractors, love of woodworking, and devotion to his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday-March 15, 2016 in the Immaculate Conception Church, 119W. Chestnut St. Washington. Entombment will follow in the Washington Cemetery Four Seasons Mausoleum. The public is welcome to attend both the Mass and the entombment. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave. Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S.
