William D. Hannen

William D. “Billy” Hannen, 82, of Washington, PA, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in the Washington Hospital. He was born November 24, 1942, in Washington, PA, a son of the late David and Mary Amon Hannen. Mr. Hannen attended Washington High School. He was a member of the Fourth Presbyterian Church in Washington, PA where he had previously served as an Elder and Head Usher. Mr. Hannen was employed in the Maintenance Department at Trinity High School from where he retired in 2005. He was a member of the Jessop Employees Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting pool. Most of all, he enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with the love of his life, Joyce.
On October 21, 1988, he married Joyce L. Pavkovich, who survives. Also surviving is a son, David (Josita) Hannen; two brothers, Donald Hannen and Robert (Linda) Hannen; three grandchildren, Sierra, Hailey, and Zachary Hannen, and a sister-in-law, Joni (Thomas) Ingram. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Also surviving are his two loving Toy Australian Shepards, Riley Joseph and Rocky Dakota.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Richard Hannen and by three sisters, Shirley, Barbara, and Cecillia.
Mrs. Hannen would like to thank the nurses and caregivers on floor 6-S at the Washington Hospital for their kindness, compassion, and caring support that was given to Billy during his time there.
Friends will be received on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 1 P.M. until 5 P.M. the hour of a funeral service in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director. The Rev. Cynthia Smith will officiate. Burial will be private in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray, PA.
