Chris Geno Gisoni
/Chris Geno Gisoni, 63, was called home to the Lord on Friday, January 31, 2025. He was the loving son of the late Frances and Joseph Gisoni.
After graduating from Immaculate Conception High School, he followed in his father’s footsteps and started working for the Postal Service. He worked his way up to Postmaster and served post offices in Muse and Jefferson, before retiring as Postmaster of West Alexander.
He is survived by his four brothers, Jay, Greg, Shawn, and Matt; two sisters-in-law, Melissa and Lana; an aunt, Ree Nichols; a nephew, Matthew, and nieces, Michele, Devan, Jillian, Sydney, Maddie, and Mackenzie. Several cousins also survive.
In his younger years, Geno enjoyed working on remodeling projects around the house for his friends and family. He was very talented at wood working, dry wall finishing, electrical, and many other areas. If it was broken, he could fix it.
Geno enjoyed his morning newspaper and his sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pitt Panthers. He was an avid history buff and had an impeccable memory for people, places, and events. An excellent Chef, Geno, mastered all his mother’s recipes.
Friends will be received on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until Noon the hour of a blessing service in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director. The Rev. Edward L. Yuhas will officiate.
