Ronald J. Mole
/Ronald J. Mole, age 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2025, at home with his beloved wife of 56 years at his side. Born in Queens, New York, on July 25, 1947, a son of the late Lester and Hazel Turang Mole, he spent most of his youth in Brooklyn before moving to Connecticut to raise his family, and most recently moving to Pennsylvania.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Bernadette Morgenthaler Mole, his four daughters, Jennifer (Adam) Olshan, Cynthia (Edward) Pitcher, Elisabeth (Dan “Buck”) Chalovich, and Caroline (Richard) LeVasseur; eleven grandchildren, Ashley (Manuel), Nathaniel, Ryan (Deirdre), Hayley, Rebecca, Abigail, Caitlyn, Alison, Grace, Joshua, and Zachary; and his brother, Clifford (Susan) Mole.
One of his favorite places was the front porch at the family country home in the Catskill Mountains where he would grill, play cards, and enjoy life with family and friends.
He indulged his wife’s love of travel by visiting many countries around the world and beautiful places like Alaska and Hawaii.
He was a doting grandfather and routinely road tripped to birthday parties, baptisms, graduations, sporting events, holiday gatherings and most recently weddings. He treasured the memories made when the whole family gathered for their 40th and 50th anniversary.
He was an aerospace engineer who worked in research to develop the M1A1 Abrams tank for the United States Military. He will always be remembered for his ability to fix anything.
He had a lifelong love of horse racing, a passion he shared with his best friend of 50+ years, Walter (Sandra) Sundstrom.
Throughout his life music was his passion. He was an avid record collector and playlist king. We will mis his warm sense of humor and his witty commentaries on life. Lastly, his grand dogs will miss all the table scraps he passed to them.
Rest in peace until we meet again in Paradise.
