Mary Pauline Reese, 91 of Washington died Saturday-March 18, 2017 at Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care, Washington after a long battle with dementia. Mrs. Reese was born June 2, 1925 in Washington the daughter of the late Clayton Howell & Pauline Sackville Reese.  She was a 1943 graduate of East Washington High School and was a graduate of the Washington Seminary in 1945.  She was a member of the Avery United Methodist Church.  Mrs. Reese was employed at the Observer & Reporter for many years until her retirement as the Special Executive Manager in the Display Advertising Department.  Mrs. Reese also instituted the Bridal Section of the Observer & Reporter. She was formerly a member of the Daughters Club, a former member of the Current Events Club, one of the founders of the Ice & Blades Club and a member of the Duncan Miller Glass Society.

Surviving is her daughter; Susan Reese of Washington and a loyal companion; Pat Lacock of Washington.

Friends will be received on Monday-March 20, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday-March 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, P.O.
