Dennis Dale Lyle

Dennis Dale Lyle, 59 of Claysville passed away unexpectedly Tuesday-August 4, 2015.  He was born April 8, 1956 in Washington a son of Jane Six Lyle of Claysville and the late K. Dale Lyle. Mr. Lyle was a 1974 graduate of McGuffey High School and Western Area Vo-Tech. He was a member of the North Ten Mile Baptist Church in Amity. Mr. Lyle was a 4-H leader for 15 years of the East Finley Lucky Clovers 4-H Club, a longtime member of Buffalo Grange, a member of the White Hunting Camp in Emporium and was a member of the Washington Cattleman Association.

Mr. Lyle was a self-employed contractor/carpenter with his dad in Lyle Contracting moving to Millcraft Industries, now known as Caterpiller for 43 years.

Along with his wife he owned & operated Nancy’s Kountry Kitchen, a traveling food trailer serving food for the retired auctioneer, Hezzy Reese, McGowan Auctioneer and Steel City Truck and Tractor Pullers. This was a pass time he enjoyed very much. 

Mr. Lyle loved his family deeply and found great joy as a husband, dad and pap. On December 1, 1974 he married his high school sweetheart Nancy Litman Lyle who survives. The couple enjoyed 40 wonderful years together. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are his children; Christopher (Brandy) Lyle of Washington, Melissa Clark of Washington & Darrin Lyle of Claysville, three sisters; Shirley (Mike) Sanders of Washington, Phyllis (Robert) Adkins of Taylorstown and Nancy Joy (Alex) Moore of Washington. His 6 loving and wonderful grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Georgie Ann & Andrew Lyle, Grayson Wallace, and Jeremy & Austin Clark. Several nieces, nephews, aunts & uncles also survive.

In addition to his father, Mr. Lyle was preceded in death by his nephew; Benjamin Adkins.

Friends will be received on Thursday-August 6, 2015 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. Buffalo Grange # 1523 will render a service Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Additional visitation will be held on Friday-August7, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. the hour of a funeral service in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Gary Schneider officiating. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
