Virginia Mae "Ginny" McDonald Morrison

Virginia Mae “Ginny” McDonald Morrison, 102 of Eighty Four passed away Thursday-August 6, 2015 peacefully at her home with her loving family at her side. She was born May 17, 1913 in Castle Shannon the daughter of the late Andrew J. & Elizabeth McMillen McDonald. Mrs. Morrison was a homemaker. She was a member of the Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church. Mrs.Morrison resided in Eighty Four for most of her life and was always known for her loving & caring nature and devotion to her family and friends. She was well known for her welcoming hospitality. 

On June 2, 1939 she married Nelson “Bill” Morrison at the McDonald Farm on Sugar Run Road. He passed away on August 4, 1998. 

Surviving are her children; son, Larry (Betsy) Morrison of Eighty Four and her daughter, Linda Morrison Knudson also of Eighty Four. Grand children surviving include; Tony & Freddie Powell, Michael Morrison of South Carolina, Jeffrey (Melissa) Knudson of Tennessee & Todd (Sharon) Knudson of Arizona, great grandchildren; Todd,Taylor, Ranger & Lily Knudson. Mrs.Morrison was the last of her immediate family. She also left behind many loving nephews, nieces & friends. 

Mrs. Morrison was preceded in death by two brothers; Harry & Edward McDonald. 

Friends will be received on Sunday-August 9, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, SusanFalvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director.  Additional visitation will be held on Monday-August 10, 2015 at the Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00a.m. the hour of a funeral service with Pastor John Dykstra officiating. Burial will be private. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Fairview Cemetery Association, 307 Ross Road, EightyFour, Pa. 15330. Online condolences maybe expressed at www.WarcoFalvoFuneralHome.com
