Loved The Lord and His Church

James Wesley Sinclair, 79 of Claysville died Friday-January 29, 2016 at the Family Hospice and Palliative Care of Mt. Lebanon following a courageous year-long battle with cancer.  He was born September 13, 1936 in New Kensington, Pa. the son of the late Charles Hazlett and Helen Knight Gilbert Sinclair.  Mr. Sinclair graduated from Washington High School in 1954.  He was a member of Avery United Methodist Church in Washington where he was a Sunday school teacher and choir director for 32 years. Mr. Sinclair loved The Lord and his church very much.  He worked for Bell Telephone for 36 years.  He also did taxes for VITA and AARP for 25 years as a volunteer.  From the time Mr. Sinclair was eight years old he was a concert trumpet player.  He grew up in the Salvation Army where he played trumpet in the Salvation Army Band. Mr. Sinclair also played trumpet in the W and J wind ensemble for 25 years and also played in many Washington dance bands.  He also enjoyed golfing with his friends.

On December 24, 1953 he married the late Lois Jean Bell who died September 12, 2015.  He is survived by two daughters; Sonya “Soni” (Floyd) Marasco of Washington, Debbie (Michael) Fairchild of Phoenix, Arizona, six grandchildren; Debbie (Dale) Crouse of Prosperity, Jess Morgan (Bruce) McWreath of Washington, Angie Marasco (Jim) Callen of Aspen, Colorado, Ali Morgan (Craig) Heppe of Prescott, Arizona, Ashley Fairchild (Kyle) Winterstein of Phoenix, Arizona and Lindsey Fairchild (David) O’Neil of Phoenix, Arizona, thirteen great grandchildren; LizzieCrouse, Emma Crouse, Braden McWreath, Makenzie O’Neil, Jackson Heppe, Zach McWreath, Jacob Heppe, Jessie Heppe, Ava McWreath, Marley O’Neil, June Heppe, Ivy McWreath and Maxon O’Neil, one brother; Major Edward (Janet) Sinclair of South Carolina and one sister; Carolyn Merritt of Canada. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Sinclair was preceded in death by one brother; Charles Sinclair, two sisters; Sally Price and Patti Sinclair who died ininfancy and one brother in law; Robert Merritt.

Friends will be received on Tuesday-February 2, 2016 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave. Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo .Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday-February 3, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. the hour of a funeral service in Avery United Methodist Church, Washington with Pastor Eric Hoeke officiating.  Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Avery United Methodist Church, 1100 Gabby Ave. Washington Pa. 15301 or to the Family Hospice and Palliative Care, 50 Moffett St. Pittsburgh Pa. 15243.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.WarcoFalvoFuneralHome.com.
