Phyllis Comoski Friend

Phyllis Comoski Friend, 82, formerly of Washington, Pa., died Saturday-October 24, 2015 at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia surrounded by her family.

She was born September 22, 1933 at Washington Hospital, the daughter of the late Josephine and Anthony Comoski.

Phyllis graduated from Trinity High School Class of '51. Following graduation, she pursued a career in modeling before working at Shannon Motors and eventually as secretary at RCA Meadowlands. There she would meet her future husband Edward Friend. The two married and moved to a small farm in West Bethlehem Township where Phyllis developed a fondness for animals that would last the rest of her life. Among her favorite things was watching newborn calves frolicking in the fields.

She would later move with her husband and children to Marlton, New Jersey where she worked as a receptionist for five years with Erico Fastening Systems of Moorestown and 17 years with Travelers Insurance. She resided with her husband in Marlton until her death.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son; Jeff Friend of Marlton, daughter; Paulajo Friend Easterly of Medford, NewJersey, son; Jason Friend of West Chester, Pa., and granddaughter; Hannah Friend of West Chester, who Phyllis loved dearly.

Phyllis was a beautiful woman. Her caring way and the softness of her Heart touched everyone who knew her. She loved people and talking with people. She cherished close friends and family and loved being with them. Most of all she loved God, her devotion to the way of Christ, and her Roman Catholic Faith.

She will be missed by all those who love her.

Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday-October 30, 2015 in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director. A prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday-October 31, 2015 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray, Pa.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.WarcoFalvoFuneralHome.com
