Elizabeth Jane Hull Wright Westerfeld
/Elizabeth Jane Hull Wright Westerfeld, 92 of Washington died Sunday-November 8, 2015 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 10, 1922 in Venango the daughter of the late John Vern & Lulu Irene Tau Hull. Mrs. Westerfeld was very active at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church in Amity. She taught Sunday school at various churches, ran church nurseries & was a youth leader with the Baptist Youth Fellowship. She also sang in the choir and loved to play the violin and piano. Mrs. Westerfeld operated a “Good News Club” out of her home in Lagonda. She was a true Christian always “Thanking God for all He Has Done”.
In 1942 she married Lee Wilson Wright who died December 1,1968. In April of 1982 she married Emmett Louis Westerfeld who died September 19, 2011.
Surviving are her 11 children; Helen Elizabeth (Buzz) Ford of Monessen, Samuel Lee (Linda) Wright of Hawaii, Rebecca Sue Shipe ofWashington, Thomas R. (Karen) Wright Sr. of Washington, Joseph R. (Pamela) Wright of Eighty Four, Donald Mark (Theresa) Wright of Amity, Connie Esther (Dennis) Barney of Eighty Four, Rachel (James) Kelsey of Finleyville, John F. (Stephanie) Wright of Canonsburg, Daniel N. (Darlene) Wright of South Franklin & James A. (Christine) Wright of Washington, a brother; Jack Vern (Louise) Hull of Albion, 2 sisters; Mary Ella Hull of Washington & Nancy (Jerry) Kiralfy of Manheim. Many grandchildren & great grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Westerfeld was preceded in death by 5 brothers; Ralph, Dan, Jim, Wayne & Paul Hull and by a son in law; Ray Shipe.
Friends will be received on Wednesday-November 11, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. Additional visitation will be held on Thursday-November 12, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 200 Banetown Rd. Amity. A funeral service will be held at the church at 11:30a.m. with Pastor Dave Decker officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Samaritan’s Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, North Carolina 28607.
