Eleanor Ann Zenner
/Eleanor Ann Zenner, 88, of Washington, PA, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, March 23, 2025. She was born September 28, 1936, in Washington, PA, a daughter of the late Louis and Sarah Capo. Eleanor was a graduate of Washington High School. She was an accomplished classical pianist. One of her more prominent genres was when she played for the opening of the former Basle theater of Washington. Eleanor worked in retail selling everything from clothing, jewelry, furniture, and cars. She also had a successful career as a local realtor for several years. Some of her most notable listings were the Basle Theater on North Main and the Bed and Breakfast House on East Maiden Street, both of which she listed and sold. Eleanor made many long-standing acquaintances and friends throughout her sales career.
Eleanor attended the Alliance Church (formerly the Christian Missionary Alliance) throughout her childhood and adult life. She loved people and had a passion for Christ ministry. In addition, she was a gifted artist and a patron of Pittsburgh theater. She was an extraordinary person, wonderful wife, loving mother and beautiful child of God.
She is survived by her husband and best friend of 68 years, Reverend Donald J. Zenner. Also surviving is her son, Reverend D. Joel Zenner and wife Kelly of New Braunfels, Texas; a daughter, Dawn Zenner-Gaudi and Husband Richard of Washington PA; two grandchildren, Daechia Leah Miller and Husband Jason of Ohio, and Sierra Ann “Bunny” Zenner of Texas, and three great grandchildren, Daisy, Wesley, and Dallas Miller.
She was preceded in death by one brother, James Capo (wife Marlene) of Ohio.
Friends will be received on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 2:00 P.M until 4:00 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home. The Rev. D.
