Kerry Randell Breese

Kerry Randell Breese passed away on January 22, 2025.  He was overtaken with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson’s complicated by a brief illness.  Kerry was born in Washington, Pennsylvania to Clarence “Red” Breese and Corabell (Kinskey) Breese on June 7, 1949.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a beloved son, Michael Breese.  Kerry was formerly married to Carol Kavolak (Breese) Williamson, the mother of his children, and Kerry (Breese) Barnhart.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Breese and “adopted son”, Teddy Geyser of McDonald, PA; his most favorite cousin, Pam Kinskey of West Alexander, PA; a sister, Dorothy (Dottie) Lynch-Trettel of Brentwood, California; granddaughters, Kassandra Young and Maura Vitelli; a grandson, Michael Breese, Jr.; his Aunt, Lorraine (Kinskey) Wilson, and many close friends most importantly Shayne Taylor.

Kerry attended McGuffey School district where he wrestled and played football.  He graduated high school from Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, Georgia.  Kerry attended college at Salem College in West Virginia.  He was raised in Claysville, PA where he had the most incredible opportunities growing up at his father’s airport which later became the Washington County Airport.  Kerry taxied planes down the runway and obtained his pilot license at sixteen years old.  He had amazing life experiences and stories from “almost” crash landings to putting out in-flight fires to seeing fireworks in the air when he worked too late, and his father took him up to catch the sites.  Kerry just jumped in a plane, and they went everywhere from fishing in Canada to car races and all over the United States.

He was a public servant as a volunteer fireman and would have chosen that as a vocation.  Kerry was an Assistant Chief at South Strabane #2 where he was a pumper operator, working all the gauges in sync before computer operations.  He also volunteered at South Franklin Fire Department as a teen and again later in life after South Strabane.

Kerry served in the Army Reserves and had his trucking company “Kerry Breese Trucking,” with the most beautiful chromed out Ford trucks many still remember.  His cb-handle was, “firefighter.”  He moved to Ohio and worked as a supervisor for many years with Midwest Transit and Eagle Transportation returning to his love of driving for a time.  Kerry returned to Pennsylvania a few years ago with his dog Jack and gained some much-needed relaxation and was overtaken with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson’s.  He was blessed with wonderful care from the Bridgeville Rehabilitation Center and their staff.
