Joan Frazee Beddow

Joan Frazee Beddow, 91, of Washington, PA, formerly of Amity, PA, entered peacefully into the presence of the Lord surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Woodside Place, Washington.  She was born on February 17, 1933, in Amity, PA, a daughter of the late Carroll and Lucille Dunn Frazee.  Mrs. Beddow was a 1951 graduate of Trinity High School.  She was employed as a Pharmacy Assistant for many years at the Annex Pharmacy.  Mrs. Beddow was a member of the Washington Alliance Church and was a former member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church.  She enjoyed genealogy and was inducted into the Pioneer Families of Southwestern Pennsylvania.  Mrs. Beddow was a member of the Amwell Township Historical Society and was the PTA President and was a Girl Scout Leader when her children were young.  She was an avid reader and card player, enjoyed gardening and yard work, and being outside feeding the deer and turkey.  Mrs. Beddow will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

On June 22, 1951, she married Logan A. Beddow, Jr., who passed away February 21, 2006.  Surviving are four daughters, Linda (Joe) Kolano of Washington, PA, Deanna (Michael) Warco of McMurray, PA, Amy Snyder of Washington, PA, and April (Randy) Matthews of Scenery Hill, PA; two brothers, Carroll (Brenda) Frazee of Washington, PA and J.D. Frazee of Fogelsville, PA; a sister, Linda Martin of Washington, PA; eight grandchildren, Jason (Lan) Kolano, Joet (Mike) Pealer, Justine (Steve) Brown, Megan (Ed) Moran, Matthew (Meghan) Warco, Jeremy Snyder, Levi (Karissa) Matthews, and Lexie (Bill) Mills; fifteen great grandchildren, Anika and Alana, Miles, Cole, Alexa, and Aleah, Jovie and Elleck, Logan and Rory, Drake, Isla, and Rowan, and Myla and Gwen.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was proceeded in death by a great granddaughter, Devi Matthews.

Mrs. Beddow’s daughters would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Woodside Place and to Gateway Hospice for the loving and compassionate care that was given to their mother over the past few years.

At the request of Mrs. Beddow, all funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S.
