Sonja C. Bailey, 83, of Washington, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024, in the Washington Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born February 17, 1941, in Washington, PA, a daughter of the late Clarence Gordon, Sr. and Clara Shetterly Johnson. Sonja was a graduate of Ironton High School in Ironton, OH. She was Baptist by faith. Sonja enjoyed watching WWE and working crossword puzzles. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are two daughters, Gwendolyn Bailey of Maryland and Kimberly Bailey of Washington, PA; five grandchildren, Kenneth, Kendall, Andre, Tanika, and Michael, Jr., and five great grandchildren, Jeanie, Carter, Journee, Daelen, and Xander. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Johnson and Clarence Gordon, Jr., and by two sisters, Patricia Calhoun and Janet Deering.

Friends will be received on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. the hour of a funeral service in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director. The Rev. Richard D. White, Jr will officiate.
