Alexander Jester Jr.
/It is with deep sorrow that the family of Alexander Jester Jr. 81, of West Alexander, PA announces his entering into his eternal home in Heaven on Saturday, September 2, 2023, following a lengthy illness and now rests in the arms of Jesus. He was born on his grandparents’ farm on May 20, 1942, in Canonsburg, PA, a son of the late Alexander and Margaret Oshetsky Jester. Mr. Jester proudly served in the United States Army and overseas in Korea with the 2nd Infantry Division as an Armor Crewman. Following his discharge, he was employed as a finance manager at Liberty Loans, before working in construction and later as a truck driver. In his retirement he owned and operated “Duke’s Flea Market” with his wife until 2005. In Mr. Jester’s spare time, he enjoyed telling stories to his grandchildren, making up songs about the family, telling jokes, drawing up building plans, working in his shop, teaching others what he knew and listening to old country music, especially George Jones.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife of 34 years, Paula Clutter Jester; a sister, Joan (Frank) Wargo; and his daughters, Stacey (Marty) Lucas, Alexis Novak, Elizabeth Swart, Melany (Randy) Agnew, and Amanda (Merrick) Jester. He was the proud “Pap” of 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cory Lee Haught; his sister, Doris Gulutz, and his brother, Alan (Kathy) Jester.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Washington Hospital 6 E for their kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to charities that Alex held dear: St. Jude’s, Paralyzed Vets, Tunnel to Towers, The Humane Society, and The West Alexander and Claysville Volunteer Fire Departments.
Friends will be received on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Pastor John Pipp officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 P.M. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
