Ruth Anne Morris

Ruth Anne Morris, 85, of Washington, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.  She was born February 13, 1938, in New Geneva, Fayette County, PA a daughter of the late Lewis K. and Ruth E. Williams.  Ruth Anne graduated from Uniontown High School in 1956.  On February 22, 1957, she married John “Jack” Morris, who survives.  Ruth Anne held many clerical and accounting jobs, until getting her Associate’s Degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1982.  She worked as an interior designer for Ethan Allen – Finleyville Furniture for 10 years, and then owned and operated her own furniture and appliance store, “Down Under” in Charleroi, PA until her retirement in 1999.  Ruth Anne enjoyed decorating her house, playing piano, and shopping.  She followed Nascar and had season tickets for Pitt and the Steelers for many years.  Ruth Anne also enjoyed going to the casino and playing the fancy slot machines. 

Surviving in addition to her husband, Jack, is a daughter, Johnna (Joseph) Stout and her grandson, Jonathan Stout who she was very fond of. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her sister, Jean Harford.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.
