Charles G. Tarr

Charles G. “Chuck” Tarr, 84 of Washington passed away unexpectedly on Monday-May 30, 2022.  He was born February 9, 1938 in Washington, PA the son of the late Charles and Ada Felton Strawn.  Mr. Tarr was later adopted by George Tarr.  He served in the United States Navy.  Mr. Tarr was first employed by Andy Brothers Tire and later began his career as a truck driver at Reliance Electric which later became Rockwell Automation from where he retired.  Following his retirement, Mr. Tarr worked part time at the Observer-Reporter.  This was a job that he really enjoyed.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family, especially time spent with his grandchildren.  Mr. Tarr lived a good life but it was now time for him to say goodbye.  He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Surviving is his wife, Kathryn Morne of Washington with whom he spent the last 40 years with; two sons, Chuck Tarr of Bridgeville and John Tarr of Coraopolis; a daughter, Ada Fiscus of Carnegie; a stepdaughter, Lori (Eric) Morne Justynski of Boca Raton, Florida; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his best friend of many years, Bill Hughey whom he worked many long hours with and enjoyed many happy hours with; his close friend, Mike Kopko who was like a brother to him; Mike’s daughters, Lindsi Kopko and Andrea White and Mike’s four grandchildren, Abbi, Travis, Maysi and Jozsi.
