John Henry Davidson

An amazing man who touched the lives of so many people and lived a life respected.  He spent over 40 years serving and protecting others and sixty years supporting his family.  John had the ability to make you feel important and always found time to assist his family from building and remodeling their homes to caring for an adopted Percheron horse to pet sitting.

John Henry Davidson, 82, of Washington passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at home surrounded by his family.  John was the son of the late Dorothy (Wilson) and Alvin Davidson, born July 17, 1940, part of a family of ten children.  He attended Hickory School and Washington High School, graduating in 1958.  After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army serving in the military police from 1958 to 1961 then the Army Reserves before being honorably discharged in 1964.  On February 8, 1962, he enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police.  While in the Pennsylvania State Police, he was stationed at Troop A (Greensburg) protecting the Greensburg, Somerset and Kiski Valley communities.  He was later transferred to Troop B (Washington) where he was stationed until his retirement on January 7, 2000, with the rank of Lieutenant.

On February 15, 1963, he married Carolyn Dee (Sis) Frazee.  He leaves behind two daughters, Kimberly Frances Pryor (Dave Nielsen) and Kristen Rogers (Albert Lee Rogers); a grandson, Matthew Pryor; a great-granddaughter, Briley Pryor and family member, James Pryor.

He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. John enjoyed traveling with his family, spending time outdoors with his grandson and watching westerns with his son-in-law.

He will be truly missed and will never be forgotten.
