Nelson P. Watson Jr.
/Nelson P. Watson Jr., 93 of McMurray, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2022 in his home. He was born March 3, 1929 in Hastings, West Virginia the son of the late Nelson P. and Flossie Horner Watson. Mr. Watson served in the United States Air Force for four years before being honorably discharged. He was employed by TRW as a service manager for many years up until the time of his retirement. Mr. Watson was a Mason and in his earlier years was a member of the Lions Club. He enjoyed walking on the Montour Trail in Peters Twp. with his dog, Zeke and boating at Tygart Lake where he had a second home. Mr. Watson also enjoyed pitching horse shoes when he was young. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and he will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
On May 28, 1955 he married Mary Elizabeth Mason who died March 19, 2010.
Surviving are three sons, Nelson P. Watson III of Claysville, PA, Charles T. Watson of Rochester, PA and Donald E. Watson of Toledo, Ohio; two daughters, Linda M. Watson of Canonsburg, PA and Janice L. (Frank) Willhoft of Washington, PA; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Adam, Angela, Neil, Lauren, Amber and Eric and twelve great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Watson was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Watson and by a sister, Opal Wirth.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, Holly Renay Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 with the Rev. Wray Fanton officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
