Veronica A. Morgan

Veronica A. “Ronnie” Morgan, 90 of Washington, passed away peacefully on Friday-January 21, 2022.  She was born August 8, 1931 in Washington, PA the daughter of the late John E. and Veronica M. Seubert Manion.  Mrs. Morgan was a 1948 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School.  She was a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish and was a member of the Christian Mothers of the church.  Mrs. Morgan was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Church Friendship Club and volunteered for many years at the church fish fries and annual church bazaars where she made pierogis.  Mrs. Morgan worked as a bookkeeper for many years at several companies in Washington.  She was a simple woman who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, especially the times spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Mrs. Morgan will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. 

On March 28, 1951 she married Harry A. “Hezzie” Morgan who died May 25, 2016.  Surviving is a son, Harry A. (Debbie) Morgan Jr. of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three daughters, Loretta (John) Niemiec of Moundsville, West Virginia, Elaine (Edward) Morascyzk of Washington and Cathy (Ed) Twele of Westminster, Colorado; eleven grandchildren, Rebecca (Mike) Haller, Erin (Adam) Goodykoontz, Jonathan (Amy) Niemiec, Angela (T.J.) Srsic, Kristen (Mark) Lesako, E.J. (Stacey) Morascyzk, Brian (Nikki) Morgan, Greg Morgan, Victoria (Will) Thompson, Lauren (Josh) Vasu and Meghan (Chris DiRubio) Twele; sixteen great grandchildren, Elizabeth, William, Annabelle, Juliette, Alex, Audrey, Dante, Dominic, Izzy, Ethan, Eddie, D.J., Lila, Emma, Ava and Brooklyn.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by a daughter, Veronica Jean Morgan and by a brother, John E. Manion Jr.

Friends will be received on Tuesday-January 25, 2022 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director.  The Christian Mothers of the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish will recite the Rosary at 3:30 P.M. on Tuesday in the funeral home.  The family kindly asks that those visiting the funeral home wear a mask in the interest of public health.  A prayer service will be held on Wednesday-January 26, 2022 at 9:00 A.M. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish, 119 W. Chestnut St. Washington with the Rev. Tom Lewandowski as celebrant.  Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.  Those wishing to make memorial contributions may do so to J.F.K.
