Susan Falvo Warco
/Susan Falvo Warco, 68 of Washington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 29, 2021 with her family by her side.
She was born November 23, 1952 in Washington PA the daughter of the late Joseph D. Falvo and Betty J. Verno Falvo of Washington.
Susan was a 1970 graduate of Trinity High School, attended West Liberty College, was a graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing in Bloomfield and was a 1995 Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Prior to purchasing the Robert C. Gordon Home for Funerals with her husband in 1978, Susan worked as a nurse at Kane Hospital, Kade Nursing Home, The Extended Care Facility of the Washington Hospital and also worked as a Private Duty Nurse.
Susan was the co-owner and manager of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc. in Washington Pa. where she dedicated her life to serving the community and families in need as a Funeral Director since 1978. She also served Washington County Coroner’s Office as Chief Deputy for 26 years pro bono. Susan was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and was a past member of the Catholic Daughters and Christian Mothers. She was also a past member of the Democratic Women and was a current member of the Travelers Protective Association.
Susan was an avid reader, enjoyed her weekly beauty shop visits, lunch at her local Washington favorite restaurants and cruising around town in her Mini Cooper. She was a family woman above all else and enjoyed nothing more than having her children and grandchildren with her, and spent most of her evenings and weekends at her grandson’s baseball games or doing whatever the day brought her with her grandchildren’s activities. Susan’s family was her life and nothing brought her more joy than when they were all together laughing and sharing time.
She is survived by her mother, Betty J. Verno Falvo; the love of her life, S. Timothy Warco; three children, Holly Renay Warco, S. Timothy (Allison) Warco II, A.J. (Susan Vozila) Warco; three grandchildren, S. Timothy “Trip” Warco III, Brennen Gabriel “BB” Warco and Ameila Louise “Millie” Warco. Also surviving is a sister, Judy (Bill) Baxendell. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins also survive along with her best friends, Patty Belcastro Levi, Susan Ealy, the late Valerie (Angotti) Molinaro and so many other friends she considered family.

Friends and family will be received from 2:00 pm. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director. A celebration of Susan’s life and burial in the Washington Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to John F. Kennedy Catholic School, 111 W.
