William M. Mersky Jr.
/William M. Mersky Jr. of Washington, PA passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 peacefully in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care. Born July 25, 1935 in Washington, PA, he was the son of the late William and Kathryn Mersky. Bill was a graduate of Trinity High School. He spent his career working for Washington Penn Plastic having retired in 1995 after 35 years of dedicated service.
He was a proud Air Force veteran having served in the Korean War where he was an air traffic control operator. Bill was a talented and avid golfer for most of his life and had a true love of the game. He was a lifelong member of the Bears Club in Meadowlands. Bill was a devoted and proud Father. He was grateful to be a stay at home Dad for his two youngest daughters.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Lauren (Trevor) Watson of Sneads Ferry, NC, Linsey (Jim Duchi) Mersky of Claysville and Margie Mersky of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Richard (Darlene) Mersky of Claysville and Steve (Virginia) Mersky of Washington. Several beloved nieces and nephews also survive.
Bill was preceded in death by his son, William Joseph Mersky and sister, Marian (Roger) Cuccaro.
Friends will be received on Wednesday-July 28, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. the hour of a funeral service in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director. Interment will follow at 2:30 P.M. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
