Thom Albert Yohe

Thom Albert Yohe peacefully returned home on July 11, 2021. He spent his last days with family and friends enjoying listening to treasured and funny stories from shared times. Thom was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on September 23, 1948. He was a 1967 graduate of Baldwin Whitehall Area High School. He attended the University of Pittsburgh and later served in the United States Air Force as a medical evacuation pilot during the Vietnam Conflict. His wide variety of interests resulted in many achievements and career paths including a second degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, service with the Pleasant Hills and Rices Landing Volunteer Fire Departments, dental prosthetist, Chief Pilot for Christman Air, insurance inspector, a term as the president of the Washington County Historical Society, and most recently, owner of Airways Mobile Home Trailer Park until his retirement. 

Thom was preceded in passing by his parents, Eugene and Genevieve (Weiss) Yohe, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carol (Evans) Yohe of Washington, Pennsylvania; his sons, Jason (Abbey) Yohe of Taylorsville, Georgia, Ryan Yohe of Columbus, Ohio, and Devin Yohe of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and his beloved grandchildren, Jackson and Jenna Yohe of Taylorsville, Georgia. 

In lieu of a funeral, the family will be hosting a private celebration of life for family and close friends. The family is accepting prayers for comfort and appreciates all those that have reached out to them.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
