Loving Wife, Adoring Mother and Devoted Grandmother

Laura Lucille Hammers Resciniti 94, of Washington passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2021 in the Donnell House, Concordia Hospice of Washington. She was born July 10, 1926 in Washington, PA. Mrs. Resciniti was Methodist by faith. She was a 1944 graduate of Washington High School and went on to graduate from the Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing in Wheeling, West Virginia, in 1948, where she earned her Registered Nurse degree through the United States Cadet Nurse Corps during World War II. She was employed for most of her nursing career as an R.N. at Washington Hospital in the maternity ward, retiring in 1986. Mrs. Resciniti will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

On June 11, 1952, she married Ross D. Resciniti, who died on December 20, 2008. Surviving are two daughters, Denise (Jack) Cummins of Washington and Dana Resciniti of Washington, with whom she had made her home for the last four years; three grandchildren, Joshua (Erica) Cummins of Ohio, Laurelin (Michael) Fraser of Inverness, Scotland, and Zachary Cummins of West Virginia; one great- granddaughter, Halie (Hunter Shoemake) Cummins of Ohio and two great-great-grandchildren, Westlynne and Case Shoemake.
