       Ciarra Thomas (Whitlock), also known affectionately as “Cee”, went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully in Washington, PA on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Washington, PA at the age of 31, after battling breast cancer for 2 ½ years.

       Ciarra is survived by her husband, Randy L. Thomas, and daughters, Karis and Randi Thomas; parents, Lance and Deborah Whitlock of Washington, PA, siblings, Lindsay E. Howard (Whitlock) and Reid B. Whitlock, both of Canonsburg, PA; Her maternal grandparents, James and Donna Pryor of Houston, PA and paternal grandmother, Beverly J. Whitlock of Sewickley, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Craig B. Whitlock, Jr. of Sewickley, PA on September 14, 2017 and cousin, Joel L. Pryor in March 2008.

       Ciarra was born on August 15, 1986 in Pittsburgh, PA to Lance and Deborah Whitlock.  She graduated from Canon McMillan High School in 2005.  She also received a Bachelor’s in Health Information Management from Central Christian College of Kansas in 2014.  Ciarra married Randy, whom she met while in High School, in November of 2005.  Ciarra made a profession of caring for people at all of her jobs; Senior life as a member assistant, Apria Healthcare doing medicare claims and then finally as a Patient Access Associate at The Washington Hospital.  Ciarra was a loving mother to her daughter, Karis and her stepdaughter, Randi.  Her children remember her as a kind, gentle spirited mother who encouraged them to “always do their best and to treat people kindly.”

       Ciarra enjoyed watching movies, which was one of the things she did with her family.  “Coming to America”, “Jumping the Broom” and Doris Day movies were some of her favorites.  Her favorite musicals were “Phantom of the Opera” and “Les Miserables.”  She also loved to read.  Some of her favorite books were:  “East of Eden,” “The Bluest Eye,” and the “Power that Changes the World: Creating eternal impact in the Here.”  She also liked listening to music and critiquing it with her sister and brother, trying different foods, make up, watching youtube tutorials, Barbie dolls and “Cheryl’s Cookies.”  Above all she loved watching her daughter, Karis, play basketball and spending time with her nephews and nieces who affectionately called her “Tia.”   Ciarra was a member of Legacy Church International and was ordained as a teaching Pastor in November of 2016.  Ciarra was witty, had a beautiful smile and a quiet strength.

       Friends will be received on Friday-July 27, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenue, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director.  Additional visitation will be held on Saturday-July 28, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon the hour of a going home celebration at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 120 Greenside Avenue, Canonsburg, PA 15317. Pastor Anita Lovell will officiate the ceremony and the eulogy will be ministered by her father, Rev. L.B. Makishi,  DO Radiation Oncology and staff, The Washington Hospital staff and nurses, Dr. Corkerly, The Canonsburg Hospital Staff and nurses and the loving and wonderful nurses at the Allegheny Health Network Hospice, Kayla, Brooke and Jessica, for their loving care and dedication.
