Ermalee Fast Foster, 85, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 2:04 A.M. with her family by her side.  She was born July 3, 1932, in Fayette County, to the late Charles Barron and Anna Tracy Fast of New Salem, PA.

Ermalee was a 1950 graduate of Brownsville High School and a 1956 graduate of the Washington Hospital School of Nursing. She began her nursing career working for Dr. Badialli as his office nurse.

On January 18, 1957, she married Richard (Dick) C. Foster. They were married for 59 years, until his death on August 8, 2016.

Upon the birth of her two children, she became a full time mother. While raising her family she was very involved with their activities. She was active in the PTA at Wolfdale Grade School, Brownson House Wrestling, Washington County 4-H, and she helped with any other activity in which her children participated in.

As her children became older she worked part time as a private duty nurse at the Washington Hospital and was a substitute school nurse in the Trinity Area School District. She ended her nursing career as a relief nurse at the Washington Steel Corporation.

When she became a grandmother she was known as “Nan”.  Her life revolved around her three grandchildren. She spent time babysitting, taking them to yard sales, attending their activities, and playing with them.  She always took time to talk to anyone who came to visit.

In addition to spending time with her family, Ermalee, was a member of the Church of the Covenant and the Washington Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Association.  She also enjoyed many years of playing cards with her card club friends.

Surviving are her daughter; Renee (David) Dickson, her son; Richard  “Rick” C. (Jennifer) Foster II, three grandchildren;  Bryan (Amanda) Dickson, Rachelle (Stephen) Reihner, and Chelsey Foster, four great grandsons; Kolt and Kasen Reihner and Parker and Owen Dickson.

Deceased is a brother; Robert E. Fast.

Friends will be received from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Tuesday-May 22, 2018 in the Warco-Falvo Funeral  Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenues, Washington, , S. Timothy Warco , supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday-May 23, 2018 in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Stuart D. Broberg officiating.  Interment will follow in North Buffalo Cemetery.
