Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother

Betty Jane Ruffa, 89 of Washington died Tuesday-December 6, 2016 in the Washington Hospital following a brief illness.  She was born July 4, 1927 in Washington Pa. the daughter of the late Louis and Florence Alfano West.  Mrs. Ruffa was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.  She was a homemaker and she enjoyed shopping.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family.  Her family was her life and they meant everything to her.  

On June 18, 1946 she married Thomas E. Ruffa who died May 5, 2004.  She is survived by one son; Thomas L. (Barbara) Ruffa of Washington, one daughter; Evelyn J. Ruffa of Washington, two brothers; R. Douglas (Marianne) West of Washington and Louis W. “Jr.” (Gladys) West of California, four grandchildren; Jamie (Bill) Baburich of Washington, Kelly (Larry) Wingfield of Canonsburg, Alicia (David) Bradley of Claysville and Ryan Ruffa of Washington, nine great-grandchildren; Bryce Baburich, Colton Baburich, Ashley Ruffa, Bryan Milligan, Braylon Wingfield, Gianna Wingfield, Damian McCloskey, Darian McCloskey and Alexandra Bradley, one step-granddaughter; Amy Yesenosky (John Fowler), one step great-grandchild: Bailea Micjan and one step great-great grandchild; Riley Micjan.

In addition to her mother, father and husband, Mrs. Ruffa was preceded in death by one brother; C. Robert West.
