Eugene C. "Gene" Hudak
/A True “Gentle Man”
Eugene C. “Gene” Hudak, 80 of Washington died Monday-December 26, 2016 unexpectedly in the Washington Hospital. He was born February 16, 1936 in Etna Pa. the son of John and Helen Podracky Hudak. Mr. Hudak graduated from Etna High School in 1955. He was Catholic by faith and was a member of the Washington B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge # 776 and was a member of the original Washington Jaycee’s. Mr. Hudak was the owner/operator of Ohio Valley Auto Supply Inc. for over 25 years. He was a true “Gentle Man” and was very devoted to his family.
On April 18, 1959 he married Carole A. Manspeaker who survives. Also surviving are two daughters; Tracy (Craig) Grucza of Dallas Texas and Shari Von Scio of Washington, two brothers; Richard Hudak of Etna and James (Lucy) Hudak of Pittsburgh, four grandchildren; Sean Grucza, Eric Grucza, Robert (Sara) Von Scio and Emily Newman, two great-grandchildren; Chaucer Von Scio and Sebastian Von Scio. Several nieces and nephews also survive along with his beloved Miniature Daschund; Tilley.
Mr. Hudak was preceded in death by two brothers; John Hudak and Bernard J. Hudak.
Friends will be received from 4 P.M. until 6 P.M. the hour of a memorial service on Friday-December 30, 2016 in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave. Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director. Pastor Linda Mankey will officiate. Entombment will be private.
