Lois J. Finney
/Lois J. Finney, 74 of Washington died Thursday-July 23, 2015 at the Donnell House with her family at her side. Lois battled cancer for four and a half years. She was born April 23, 1941 in Buffalo Township the daughter of the late Orville H. and Marjorie M. Scott Richmond. Mrs. Finney was a Realtor in the Washington area for Century 21 for twenty one years until her retirement. She also was formerly employed at Wallgreens Pharmacy. Mrs. Finney was Methodist by faith. She was a Trinity High School graduate.
Her husband Earl R. Finney of Washington survives. They were united in marriage on December 10, 1967. They enjoyed playing golf together. Lois became an excellent golfer. She received many trophies. She was a former member of the Keystone Club, Lone Pine Country Club, Greene County Country Club and the Golf Club of Washington. Lois and Earl enjoyed their many fun times, trips, activities and holidays with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lois will be in the heart of her husband Earl forever.
Surviving are their children: son; Kenneth “Bo” (Theresa ) Finney of Prosperity, daughters, Kellie R. Anderson of Washington & Karrie R. (Guy) Waters of Stuart, Florida, brothers, Orville H. “Butch” (Barbara) Richmond of Washington, Charles E. (Donna) Richmond of Amity, sisters; Marjorie M. “Sue” (James) Wood of Waynesburg & Irene I. Richmond (Tom Stock) of Washington. Seven grandchildren; Kenny Finney, Rob Finney, Angela Jean Conn, Amanda Breide, Amie Joe Jenkins, Renee Pettit & Brent Anderson, great grandchildren; Haley & Emily Finney, Britney & Jack Finney, Aubrie Doak, Madison Rae Conn, Landon Conn, Owen, Tanner & Cash Breide, Mah Kai Wise & Dominic Anderson.
Members of Mr. Finney’s family that survive: brother; Sidney (Esther) Finney of Houston and their children; Dennie, Denise & Annette, cousin; Donna (Bill) Zott of Bethel Park. Aunt Judy and Lois were very close. Several nieces & nephews also survive.
Mrs. Finney was preceded in death by a sister; Mary R. Hupp who had lived in Amity.
Friends will be received on Sunday-July 26, 2015 from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. A funeral service will be held on Monday-July 27, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor David Earnest officiating. Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
