Carmine Paul Verno
/Carmine Paul Verno, 69 of Bentleyville died Wednesday-April 22, 2015 in his home. He was born July 20, 1945 in Washington the son of the late Carmine Verno and Clara Verno Reihner. Mr. Verno was a member of Central Assembly of God. He was President of the Men’s Ministry and was also on the leadership team of the Washington County Men’s prayer breakfast. He was a 1963 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School. He attended California University with further studies in marketing at Michigan State University and the University of Notre Dame. He received a Certified Marketing Directors Designation from the International Council of Shopping Centers in 1976.
He was a board member of the Advantage Inc. (Association for Mentally Challenged Citizens) and was a former member of the Washington Jaycees. He was a former State Director of Miss Pennsylvania, Ohio & West Virginia USA pageants. Mr. Verno was the owner of Carvern Productions, Inc., an advertising, public relations and theatrical production firm in Washington. He was a woodworking craftsman, a fisherman and scuba diver.
Mr. Verno was married to the late Caryn L. Ankrom Verno. Surviving is a daughter; Valerie and husband Dave, sister; Janet (Pete) Castriota, stepbrother; David Reihner, two grandsons; Neil & Blake, along with several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Verno was preceded in death by not only his parents but also by his stepfather, Jacob Reihner.
