Rebell G. "Uncle" Daversa

Rebell G. “Uncle” Daversa, 92 of Washington formerly of Penn Hills & Sharpsburg died Wednesday-January 28, 2015 at the Washington Hospital after a brief illness. He was born June 5, 1922 in Steubenville, Ohio the son of the late Frank & Carmela Lossaso Daversa. Mr. Daversa was employed as an Executive Secretary for Superior Valve Company for over 29 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He enjoyed furniture making & designing and cooking. Mr. Daversa served in the United States Navy receiving the European Theatre Ribbon, the American Theatre Ribbon and the Victory Medal. Surviving is his niece; Rose Marie Kastory of Washington, with whom he made his home. Mr. Daversa was preceded in death by his sister; Josephine Daversa Kastory, three brothers; Anthony, Dominic & Luch Daversa and a nephew; Joseph F. Kastory. Friends will be received on Friday-January 30, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. Wilson at E. Katherine Avenue, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. A blessing service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday- January 31, 2015 in the funeral home with the Rev. George Chortos officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
