Rose Bodnar

Rose Bodnar, 88 died peacefully Tuesday-December 22,2015 in her home. She was born September 27, 1927 in Clairton, Pa. the daughter of the late Thomas and Carmella Ross of Vestaburg. Mrs. Bodnar started working at an early age in a defense plant during World War Two to help her family and retired from the Human Resources Department of KMart in 1994. She was married in 1947 to Michael Bodnar who died in 1985. Mrs. Bodnar was an avid bingo player and enjoyed watching all football games. She was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Meadowlands.

She is survived by a niece; Tina (Joe) Finley, nephews; Tom (Tina) Jenkins, Harry (Colleen) Jenkins, Joe, Kenneth and Mark Yablonski and many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother, father and husband, Mrs. Bodnar was preceded in death by sisters; Rachel Jenkins and Shirley Yablonski, brother in law; Kenneth Yablonski, nieces; Carol Bizub and Delila Sullivan and great nephew; Michael Bizub.

She will be greatly missed by neighbors and all who knew her. Mrs. Bodnar was a “Special Aunt” to Tim Chehovin.

There will be no public visitation. Private interment will be held in Beallsville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave. Washington, S.
