Lauren Elizabeth Krofcheck
/Lauren Elizabeth Krofcheck, 27 of Amity passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday-June 21, 2016. She was born December 15, 1988 in Fredericksburg, Virginia the daughter of Deacon Barry Alan and Robin Elizabeth Strukel Krofcheck of Amity. Miss Krofcheck was a graduate of John F. Kennedy Catholic Grade School, Wheeling Central Catholic High School and Slippery Rock University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree and was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. She was employed by Crown Castle Communications in Southpointe. Miss Krofcheck was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church where she taught Second Grade Religious Education on Sunday Mornings. She was also the recording secretary for the Catholic Daughters of Americas Washington Court # 1651. Miss Krofcheck was actively involved with the Old School House Players in Hickory Pa. She enjoyed traveling around the world with her best friends. Miss Krofcheck was an avid sports fan especially of all the Pittsburgh sports teams and was also a Cleveland Cavaliers fan. She loved spending time with her family especially the time that she spent with her two sisters and her grandmother.
In addition to her mother and father, Miss Krofcheck is survived by two sisters; Rachel Elizabeth Krofcheck and Rebecca “Becca” Elizabeth Krofcheck both at home, paternal grandmother; Alverda Amber Krofcheck of Washington, maternal grandfather; Albert L. Strukel Sr. of Elkhart, Indiana, Godmother; Lynn Abramowski of Michigan and several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Miss Krofcheck was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather; Bernard E. Krofcheck Sr., maternal grandmother; Anita Elizabeth Strukel and her Godfather and uncle; Bernard E. Krofcheck Jr.
Friends will be received on Friday-June 24, 2016 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday-June 25, 2016 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. The Catholic Daughters will recite the rosary at 3:30 P.M. on Friday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church, 119 W. Chestnut St. Washington Pa. 15301.
