Sandra L. Urista, 71, of Washington, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 22, 2024, in her home. She was born on June 22, 1953, in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late George H. and Martha E. White Urista, Sr. Sandra was employed as a state certified CNA in Pennsylvania and Virginia for 25 years working at several nursing homes. She was Episcopalian by faith. Sandra enjoyed reading, fishing, drawing, cooking, baking, and making hooked rugs. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are two daughters, Carrie Urista of Georgia and Lorin (Ben Holley) Wormsley of Virginia; three sons, Lamar Wormsley of Washington, PA, Thomas “Beaver” Wormsley of Washington, PA, and Massey Wormsley of New York City, NY; three sisters, Dorothy Jenkins of Washington, PA, Nancy (Tom) Mitchell of Washington, PA, and Patricia Urista of Ohio, and a daughter-in-law, Joy Bainer of Washington, PA. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tyrone Wormsley; a grandson, Lamar Tyrone Wormsley; two sisters, Rose Urista and Mary Daley, and by three brothers, George, Jr., Henry, and James Urista.
