William Lee Chandler
/William Lee Chandler, 76, of Washington, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, in Allegheny General Hospital. He was born April 19, 1948, in Washington, PA, a son of the late Dorothy Chandler. Mr. Chandler was the owner and operator of B.C. Blacktopping for over 40 years. He was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed going to the casino and going on vacations with his family and friends. Mr. Chandler also enjoyed meeting up with his coworkers and friends after work. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving is his wife, Vicki L. Chandler of Washington, PA. The couple had been together for 54 years. Also surviving are four sons, William (Carla) Ellis of Uniontown, PA, Charles (Nichole) Ellis of Washington, PA, Sean Ellis of Washington, PA, and Michael Ellis of Charleroi, PA; three daughters, Tracy Ellis-Mathews of Florida, Sherry (Gregory Hankins) Chandler of Washington, PA, and Tina Chandler of Washington, PA; a sister, Lisa Barbour of Pittsburgh, PA; nineteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Terri Mathis, and twin grandsons, Ryan and Nathan Ellis.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Evangelist Mae Chandler officiating.
