Rev. James A. Buchanan

Rev. James A. Buchanan, 88, of West Middletown, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in the Washington Hospital following a brief illness.  He was born December 1, 1935, in Washington, PA, a son of the late Chester and Mildred Hall Buchanan.  Rev. Buchanan was employed as a steel worker at Washington Steel for 32 years while at the same time serving as Pastor of the Apostolic Faith Assembly in Wellsburg, WV.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching all sports on television.  Rev. Buchanan will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

On November 30, 1956, he married Shirley E. Lewis, who survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Hazel Caroll of Buffalo Village and Dorothy Lestini of Avella, PA.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Ronald Buchanan.
