Dwane A. Kint

Dwane A. Kint, 62, of Marianna, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 24, 2023 in the Donnell House, Concordia Hospice of Washington.  He was born September 13, 1960 in Waynesburg, PA, a son of the late Elmer J. and Janet G. Reese Kint.  Mr. Kint was a 1978 graduate of Bethlehem Center High School.  After high school he worked at ICI Americas for 12 years as a laborer.  Mr. Kint then continued his education at Dean Institute of Technology where he received an Associate Degree in Electrical Technology.  Following graduation he started his own business, “Kint Electric” where he worked as a self-employed electrician.  Mr. Kint dedicated his life to serving others by being a 45 year member of the Marianna Volunteer Fire Company where he served as Assistant Chief, Chief, and currently President.  He also served as a member of the Marianna Borough Council for many years.  Mr. Kint enjoyed going to his camp in Potter County and going to Big Bear Lake.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving is his former wife, Sue Johnson of Washington, PA; a son, Jason (Stephanie) Kint of Canonsburg, PA; a daughter, Rachel (Ben) Buchanan of Monongahela, PA; three granddaughters, Lennon Kayda- Kint, and Aubree and Ava Buchanan; two nephews, Stanley (Stacie) Clish and Kenneth Kint, and four nieces, Gale (Chris) Pentz, Sherri (Duane) Swoope, Jennifer Watkins, and Beth Kint.  Several great nieces and great nephews also survive. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, E.J. and Barry Kint, and a sister Garnet Sabula.

Friends will be received on Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director.  The Marianna Volunteer Fire Company will render a fireman’s service at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday in the funeral home.  Pastor Daniel Anderson will officiate.  Burial will be private.  Memorial contributions are welcomed in his memory to the Marianna Volunteer Fire Company, P.O.
