Ann B. George

Ann B. George, 95, of Washington, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.  Ann was born in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County on July 5, 1927 the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Sova Bosak.  Her family relocated while she was still an infant to Washington where she resided her entire life. 

Ann was a long time member of the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the church since 1953.  She was also a faithful volunteer of the Washington Hospital Auxiliary. 

Ann spent her entire career with the Lang’s stores in Washington.  She began at the downtown store in sales and as a dress buyer, later moving to the Washington Mall location as the store manager.

Ann loved her country, traveling extensively in her life time throughout the 50 states and Canada.  She also enjoyed several trips abroad, visiting many of the countries of Europe and the Caribbean Islands.

Surviving is her sister, Margaret (Calvin) Cokeley; nieces, Susan Loeser and Kathleen Bailey; nephews, Kevin Cokeley and Andrew (Jenifer) Martincic. Also surviving is one great niece and three great nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Steve, and Albert who died in infancy and two sisters Helen Bosak and Tressa Martincic.

Friends will be received on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 2 - 4 and 6 – 8 P.M in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director.  The Catholic Daughters of St. James Parish will recite the Rosary at 3:30 P.M. on Monday in the funeral home.  A prayer service will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish, West Chestnut St. Washington, PA, with the Rev. Tom Lewandowski as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Parish, 119 W.
