Peter Alexas Jr.

Peter “Pete” Alexas Jr., 87 of Washington passed away peacefully on Thursday-February 17, 2022 with his family at his side.  He was born February 12, 1935 in Washington, PA the son of the late Pete and Bessie Karanzalis Alexas.  Mr. Alexas was a graduate of Washington High School and was Greek Orthodox by faith.  He was employed throughout his life for several glass manufacturing companies as a quality control manager and was promoted to plant manager at Henryetta’s Midland Glass.  This was a profession that he took a lot of pride in and was well respected throughout the industry.  Mr. Alexas enjoyed investing in the stock market, watching sports and playing black jack and other games at the casino.  He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Surviving is a daughter, Cindy (Bruce) Kozelou of Wisconsin; a sister, Freda “Georgia” Kohl of Washington; a granddaughter, Brooke Kozelou whom he absolutely adored; sister in law, Jean Alexas; three nephews, Tom Alexas, John (Trudy) Alexas and Steven (Leslie) Alexas and a niece, Maria (Rob) Montgomery.  Several great nieces and great nephews and one great great nephew also survive 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Alexas was preceded in death by his former wife, Lois Burchell; a brother, George Alexas; brother in law, Richard Kohl and a nephew, Michael Kohl.

Friends will be received from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. the hour of a funeral service on Monday-February 28, 2022 in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Park N.
