Marjorie Janovich Drost (Aunt Marge), 89 left this world and entered heaven on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at 3 pm, Divine Mercy Hour, after receiving The Last Rites from Father Pierre at 2:30 pm. By her bedside were her loving daughter, Marty Drost Main and her husband, Jim Main; two nieces, Lisa Allen and Debbie Bird and her loving caregiver, Jane Young. Marge was the loving daughter of Eli and Mary Janovich and was born on December 29, 1931, in Washington, PA. Marge grew up on a farm, The Lincoln Hill Dairy, and graduated from Trinity High School in 1949. Marge married the love of her life, Eugene Drost, on November 16, 1957. With a deep love for children, Marge became a teacher in 1970 and devoted her 28 year career as a 3rd Grade teacher at Claysville Elementary, McGuffey School District, and retired in 1997. Marge was loved by her students and their families and was known for her commitment to education and public service. She had a special way of touching people’s lives and lived a philanthropic lifestyle. A devout, Roman Catholic, Marge attended the Immaculate Conception Church in Washington, PA.

Marge is survived by her daughter, Marty Drost Main (husband, Jim Main) of West Alexander, PA.

Marge now joins her deceased husband, Eugene; siblings, Peter, Dolly, Mary, Eli (Red), Thomas (Bunker), Alvin, and Mildred (Sis), her loving parents; her beloved nieces, Amy (Croft) Howard ,Jessica Bird, Dorothy Sibert, Marjorie Shumar and Anne Reust and nephews Alvin Janovich, Billy Janovich and Peter Sibert in heaven.

Friends will be received on Monday-April 5, 2021 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday-April 6, 2021 in the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish, 119 W. Chestnut St. Washington with the Rev. Tom Lewandowski as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. The Drost family welcomes all flowers and donations in memory of Marjorie Janovich Drost and thanks all family and friends for their ongoing prayers, cards, gifts and love, throughout Aunt Marge’s long illness. Aunt Marge will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family, friends, and students, deep faith, quick smile, laughter and big hugs, and her ability to make the ordinary extraordinary. To honor Aunt Marge, continue to carry her light and love in this world through random acts of kindness, for it is in giving that we too will #LiveLikeMarge. God loves a cheerful giver, so we know that he dearly loves Aunt Marge as we did.
