Robert W. Fritz, 88 of Washington passed away peacefully on Sunday-October 3, 2021 in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care with his son at his side.  He was born February 15, 1933 in Monroe, Michigan the son of the late Paul W. and Selma M. Ohr Fritz.  Mr. Fritz was a 1951 graduate of Trinity High School where he had a very successful wrestling career.  Wrestling was his favorite sport.  He went on to serve in the United States Army during the Korean War before being honorably discharged.  Mr. Fritz worked as a self-employed utility contractor in the vegetation management industry for most of his life.  He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Washington for 85 years.  Mr. Fritz enjoyed carpentry which was a trade he was very good at.  Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family.  His family always came first in his life.  He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

On December 7, 1956 he married Joan Hildreth who died in October of 2002.  Surviving is a son, Tim (Sharon) Fritz of Washington and a grandson, Tim (Lindsay) Fritz II of Houston, PA.
