Robert Ray "Bobby" Sutton
/Robert Ray “Bobby” Sutton also known to others as “Sutton Death” and “Law Man”, 65 of Washington Pa passed away on Monday October 25, 2021, in his home while surrounded by his caring wife, and family following a relatively private courageous yearlong battle with lung cancer.
Robert was born July 25, 1956, a loving son of the late Charles Sutton Sr. and Ruby Harris. Robert was studying to be a Jehovah Witness at the time of his death. He graduated from Trinity High School. He was a disc jockey and formerly retired as a painter in 2019.
DJing was his passion. He had a love for DJing and continued his career for 47 years. He often traveled from Washington to Brownsville, Donora, Monessen, Pittsburgh, Ohio, and numerous other cities. He spent his time keeping a smile on other faces all while packing the dance floor. Robert’s favorite band was Parliament Funkadelic and Earth, Wind, and Fire with Imagination being his favorite song during his travel. He was known for his favorite slogan “Tell your mother, tell your brother, tell your sister to tell another.” He earned his nick name “Law Man” from the Mean Machine Flag Football Team he played on in his younger years. Robert loved his kids and took pride in watching the younger ones play sports. He was indeed a family man and loved any family function that would bring everyone together. Robert was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, and Golden State fan. He also enjoyed playing basketball, weightlifting, watching movies, playing cards and chess any free moment, he got. He took pride in dressing and making sure he had a hat, and shoe to match everything he wore. No one was a stranger to Robert; he could make conversation and friends with anyone he encountered. He had a personality, and smile that would light up the room.
Surviving and left to cherish their memories are his, wife Tiffina Sutton; his children, Akili Sutton, Michael Moye, Sherrane Sutton, Taviaire Vereen, Alairah Sutton, and Aereonna Sutton all of Washington Pa; his siblings, Lorraine Johnson of Washington Pa, Evon Williams, Deborah (Louis) Tucker, and William (Gail) Sutton all of Maryland; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and in laws. He will forever cherish the memories he had with his special nephew Chuck Goudy of North Carolina; his friend and mother-in-law, Vicki Raney of Washington Pa; his best friends, Douglas Barfield, Mark Johnson both of Washington Pa, Tim Goudy of Alabama, and Talika Smith of North Carolina.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sutton Sr., and Ruby Harris, his three brothers, Charles Sutton Jr, Willie Sutton, Lenell Sutton, three grandchildren, Donavon Racheed Sutton, Kaili Shey Sutton, a granddaughter who died in infancy and his nephew, Keith Williams.
Friends will be received on Friday-November 5, 2021 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director. A funeral service will be held on Saturday-November 6, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with the Rev. Walter Cherry officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. For those attending the funeral service Saturday, Steeler attire is recommended but not required.
