Nathaniel “Butchy” Bridges, age 64 died at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, on Tuesday September 1st, 2020.

Born August 17th, 1956 in Macomb Co., Detroit, MI at the 1st USAF Hospital Selfridge AFB, Harrison Township to the late Henry L. and Joan D. Bridges. He was a 1976 graduate of Washington High School. He resided in Mckees Rocks, PA for the past 20 years.

Butchy loved to wear his afro or braids. His big old afro would blow back in the wind while roller skating. He loved movies, music, being a DJ, model airplanes and cars. He was an avid drawer and chess player. His health caused him to retire from Neville Metals. Butchy was not one to ever complain. He continued to make jokes & pick with folks and go out to eat. As long as he could get in his electric wheelchair decked out in the Steeler’s towel and drive up the street to hang with the fellas, he was A OK. He loved being with his friends like JC, TT and Bill. He was very protective of his family and spending time with us all.

In his younger years he would travel to Pittsburgh to be with Aunt Sandy, Mikey, Sharry, Kathy, Robby and David. He would work the store bus for Uncle Bobby from Bentley Dr. to Westgate apartments. He loved to go to Cousin Mary’s house to hang with Melvin.
