Orland Burnell Ryan Jr., better known as O.B. to family and friends, passed away December 11, 2020 at his residence in Washington at the age of 72.  He was recently diagnosed with lung cancer.  O.B. was born on Feruary 3, 1948 to parents Orland Sr. and Mary Lou of Washington PA.  He was a handsome, charismatic man with a natural ability and love of sports.  He worked for Penn Mould/Ball Corp for the bulk of his career as a mould maker and retired in 2010.  O.B. was known for his fun-loving leisurely attitude and all things beer and fireworks.  He never missed an opportunity to gather with family and friends.  He was married to his beautiful wife, Dolly for 46 years and was a faithful and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.  After his retirement he spent his golden years seated next to his wife in their home figuring out his much loved sudoku puzzles while they watched their favorite television shows.  In true Irish fashion, with his flannel shirt, made complete with his pallmalls in pocket, he would make his daily trip to his favorite watering hole, The American Legion Post # 175, to enjoy his Coors Light and watch sports with many lifelong friends.  He was an honest, dependable, friendly person who was loved by all that knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Dolly; a daughter, Shelley; sons, O.B. and Todd Ryan; a son-in-law, David Reilly; grandchildren, Noelle Barnhart and Aubrey Ryan; a sister, Midge Ryan Thomlinson and a brother, Charlie Brown. 

He was predeceased by his mother and father; a son, Shawn and a brother, Robert Ryan.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions on indoor gatherings there will be no public visitation. Funeral services will be held graveside for immediate family only in Washington Cemetery.  In celebration of O.B.’s life the family is planning a Fourth of July memorial service at a time and place to be announced in the future.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S.
