Jane M. Johnson

Jane M. Johnson (née Kraus) died peacefully on January 13, 2019 in Washington, PA at the age of 92.

Jane was born on September 17, 1926 in Erie, PA to Emil and Gertrude Kraus. She graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1944. In 1945 Jane married David Johnson and the couple had shared 73 years together. Before retiring to Florida, they owned and operated Johnson’s Waterford Hardware.

She is survived by her husband, David C. Johnson; children, Diane J. Oleson (Frederick), David P. Johnson (Carol), Douglas A. Johnson (Jeanette), Cynthia J. Ratvasky (Timothy) and many grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Virginia Klumph (Arthur), Elizabeth Johnson (Robert), and Emily Tobin (“Toby”) and brothers, Robert Kraus (Veronica) and Paul Kraus (Marilyn).

Her life will be celebrated at a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, PA on Monday-January 21, 2019 at 10:00 A.M.  Entombment will follow in the Washington Cemetery Serenity Mausoleum. The family is grateful for condolences but declines flowers and donations.
