Marjorie P. O'Leary
/Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother
Marjorie P. “Margy” O’Leary, 90 of Washington died Wednesday-May 2, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born July 17, 1927 in Washington the daughter of the late Wray and Mary Paul Rutan. She was a graduate of Washington High School. Mrs. O’Leary was a homemaker and earlier in life was employed by Bell Telephone as an operator. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. Mrs. O’Leary was very artistic. She loved to paint and write poetry. She enjoyed baking pies and cookies and cooking for her loving family whom she adored especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On April 21, 1947 she married Thomas R. O’Leary who died March 3, 1994. Surviving are her children, daughter; Susan (Stephen D.) Jeffries of New York, son; Mark (Karen) O’Leary of Washington, daughter; Ellen Curran of Washington, brother; Melvin Rutan of Washington, two sisters; Jacqueline Louise Miller of Connellsville and Ellen Jane Rutan of Washington, five grandchildren; Mary O’Leary of Washington, John O’Leary of New York, Aaron (Susan) O’Leary of Washington, Allison Curran (Michael Hilkin) of New York and Scot M. Curran of Puyallup, Washington and two great-grandchildren; Cameron E. O’Leary and A.J. O’Leary. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
In addition to her father, mother and husband, Mrs. O’Leary was preceded in death by a brother; Donald Rutan and a son-in-law; M. Scot Curran.
Friends will be received on Friday-May 4, 2018 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave. Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director. A prayer service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday-May 5, 2018 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 119 W. Chestnut St. Washington. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
