Wilson A. Renne Jr., 79 of Amity, Pa. died Saturday-April 14, 2018 at the Washington Hospital following a lengthy illness.  He was born February 25, 1939 in Pittsburgh Pa. the son of the late Dr. Wilson A. and Catherine Moritz Renne.  Mr. Renne graduated from Baldwin High School before serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1962 until 1965 receiving the U.S.M.C. Good Conduct Medal.  After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, Mr. Renne went on to the University of Pittsburgh where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree.  He then worked at St. George Catholic High School in Pittsburgh and at the Children’s Institute in Pittsburgh before receiving his Master’s Degree in Special Education from Duquesne University in 1973.  Mr. Renne finally became employed at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit from where he retired in 2002.  He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.  Mr. Renne enjoyed working outside on projects and gardening.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with friends and family especially the time that he spent with his grandchildren. 

On February 28, 1970 he married Karen Beadling who survives.  Also surviving are four sons; Brendan (Lori) Renne of New Cumberland, Pa., Brian (Kelly) Renne of Amity, Pa., Kevin (Emily) Renne of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Patrick (Katie) Renne of Washington, Pa., one sister; Kathleen (Marvin Thornton) Baggio of Birmingham, Alabama and nine grandchildren; Dylan, Emma, Morgan, Melia, Tripp, Bode, Becks, Colton and Jude Renne.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends will be received on Thursday-April 19, 2018 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director.  The Washington County Marine Corps League will render a service at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday in the funeral home.  A prayer service will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Friday-April 20, 2018 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 119 W. Chestnut St. Washington with the Rev. George Chortos as celebrant.  Burial will be private in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville Pa. with full military rites being accorded by the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post # 175 and the United States Marine Corps.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Merakey Allegheny Valley School, 1996 Ewings Mill Rd., Coraopolis, Pa. 15108.  Condolences may be expressed at www.WarcoFalvoFuneralHome.com
