Sofia C. Wheeler, 57 of Washington died unexpectedly on Monday-November 26, 2018 in her home following a lengthy illness.  She was born May 3, 1961 in Washington, Pa. the daughter of the late Stephen A. Bryant Sr. and Emilia Dacua Bryant.  Mrs. Wheeler was Baptist by faith.  She graduated from Washington High School in 1979 and then attended I.U.P.  Mrs. Wheeler then moved to San Diego, California and became a Licensed Practical Nurse working for many years at an OBGYN office there.  She loved to dance, enjoyed music and watching “The Young and the Restless”.  Mrs. Wheeler loved her friends and family.  She enjoyed being with people and loved giving to others.  Mrs. Wheeler had a big heart and will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Surviving is a son; Dominique Wheeler of Georgia, a daughter; Monique Wheeler of Georgia, five brothers; Stephen A. (Gretchen) Bryant Jr. of New Jersey, Francisco (Jackie) Bryant of Washington, Carlos (Stephanie) Bryant of California, Ricardo (Sylvia) Bryant of Washington and Pamfilo (Angel) Bryant of Washington, two sisters; Estella Bryant of Seattle, Washington and Antonina (Stephen) Hull of Washington.  A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wheeler was preceded in death by two brothers; Manuel and Antonio Bryant.

Friends will be received on Friday-November 30, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. the hour of a memorial service in the Nazareth Baptist Church, 123 N. Lincoln St. Washington.  The Rev. Eugene C.
